Women can have successful careers and personal fulfillment during the child-raising years. Yet up until now, women have had to figure it out the hard way.
MOMreturns is a pioneering program that delivers specialized content for women navigating the challenge of integrating life and work while raising a young family. MOMreturns combines leadership development with
proven strategies for successfully navigating this major transition.
The Name
The MOMreturns name refers to three meaningful "returns" -- the return to the workplace after a new baby joins the family, the daily return home at the end of the work day and, of course, the significant return on investment for the employer when this life and career transition is successful for employees.
MOMreturns aims to:
-
Help women thrive professionally and personally while raising a family
-
Help companies develop, advance and retain their talented women through all life and career stages
MOMreturns presents a compelling offer to organizations and their women leaders -- an opportunity for new conversation and action that aligns organizational and individual needs. We provide consulting, research, coaching services and original programming to companies that are serious about being an employer of choice for women. We help you retain high performing women who experience greater professional success and personal satisfaction.
Today, workforce diversity is a competitive advantage.
Companies that support women through career stage/life stage challenges stand to gain competitive advantage. For the first time in history, women comprise more than half the US labor force -- and a majority of the talent pool of professionals with advanced education. Companies that actively recruit, hire and promote women are best positioned to demonstrate the new face of business to their diverse clients. Improved retention reduces the costs of finding, hiring and training new people -- and provides visible, successful role models that aid the retention of rising talent.
What is MOMreturns?
MOMreturns is a Nebo program that brings an innovative approach and resources to bear on the challenges of being a working mother.
We provide a range of thoughtfully designed services that include: consulting, coaching for professional women who are mothers, mentoring circles, and an extensive curriculum of workshops and training programs that directly address the issues that "executive mothers" face when it comes to the dual challenges of career and family.
We offer knowledge, resources, materials and tips about navigating this life transition, sharing best practices that previously have been passed only by word-of-mouth from mother to mother.
Our MOMreturns coaches are experienced leadership coaches who are also mothers and business leaders. They bring firsthand experience and perspective as well as a wealth of original Nebo resources to their clients. They are deeply knowledgeable about the strategies and tactics that improve work and life for juggling women. Through working with a MOMreturns coach, you will discover how to use your strengths to benefit your company and your family.

The design and content of MOMreturns is based on:
- Focus groups
- Sponsored research
- One-on-one interviews with dozens of women at every stage of career
- Coaching conversations with women executives
- Workshops with working mothers
- Published research about women and work
